If you need to get off the grid (although, you still have excellent internet reception) for a bit, fly into San Jose, rent a car, take a ferry and stay at this beautiful little gem. “El Mirador was an excellent place to stay. The staff were excellent and the cabin was very nice and well stocked (full kitchen). The grounds are beautiful! It is a bit out of the way and isolated from other attractions but there are some restaurants that deliver from the town and it’s not too far of a drive from other destinations, if you have your own transportation (not walkable). All in all, a great stay. Would stay again. ”

“Fidelito is set on a small ridge which affords great views into the trees to see birds and monkeys. The rooms are big and very nice, with a patio that looks into the forest. The owners are wonderful people. There is a garden with a very well appointed outdoor common room. Directions to find the place were accurate and easy to follow. We really loved it.”

“Bahia Rica Was an oasis in Paquera. We stayed for one night and did the bioluminescent tour and Isla Tortuga. The guest house was a rustic sanctuary where you feel one with nature.
